I’d like to share with friends and close family an inspiring story about my grandmom. She lived to be 104 years old. She grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania where family and neighbors joined together to help each other. She always said they would “make Christmas”, meaning they would make gifts and pies to give to one another. It was a heartfelt Christmas, not a commercial one. My grandmom had a loving heart. She raised me, gave me a place to stay, and most important, taught me how to love. The words of “The Magic of Christmas” reflect the imagery of my childhood Christmas times with her. She always supported my musical dreams. She will never be replaced.

This song is dedicated to the memory of my father and best friend, William D. Kintzer. We would pick the guitars for hours and play the day away. The guitar I played on this record was a surprise graduation gift from my parents. He passed before I graduated high school so he never got to hear me play this guitar. The guitar became my lifeline. Whenever I play it, he is always with me.
